NEWS Ryanair strikes pay deal with European cabin crew
Ryanair has negotiated a five year pay and conditions deal with all of its 76 cabin crew bases across Europe, following the successful conclusion of similar five year deals at all 76 pilot bases. Following weeks of direct negotiations between Ryanair and its elected cabin crew representatives, using long established collective bargaining structures, Ryanair’s cabin crew at all of its 76 bases have voted to accept new agreements.

NEWS Iran looking into 16x A350XWB and 8x A380
Iran has struck a provisional deal with Europe’s Airbus to buy eight A-380 superjumbo planes to be delivered from 2019, the deputy transport minister told Reuters on Sunday. A deal for 127, mainly new, aircraft which it hopes to complete this week also includes 16 A350 jets, Asghar Fakhrieh Kashan, deputy transport minister said in an interview on the sidelines of an aviation conference in Tehran. He also said Iran was interested in regional aircraft including Mitsubishi’s MRJ and Canada’s Bombardier CSeries and has had some contact with both companies. Private Iranian airlines are also talking to Brazil’s Embraer and Russia’s Sukhoi. Tehran has long said it will need to revamp an aging fleet, hit by a shortage of parts because of trade bans imposed by Washington and other Western powers. Its planes fleet have suffered several fatal crashes in recent years.

NEWS End nears for iconic Boeing 747 as cargo market slows
Boeing has said it will lower the production rate on the 747-8 program to match supply with near-term demand in the cargo market. To account for the market and production impacts, the company will recognise a $569 million after-tax charge when it announces financial results for the fourth quarter of 2015.
