Emirates flight #EK652 from Dubai to Male, with 309 people on board, made an emergency landing in Mumbai. The emergency landing was necessitated after smoke was observed on-board, according to a report by news agency ANI. The aircraft is still in Mumbai.
“The ATC declared full emergency at the MIAL (Mumbai International Airport Limited) at 1359 hrs after a Boeing 777 flight of Emirates (EK 652) from Dubai to Male had to make an emergency landing following detection of smoke in the aircraft,” said a Mumbai airport official.

The flight with 309 passengers and crew landed safely at 1458 hrs on Runway 9 of the Mumbai airport, the official said.
