To accomodate the greater amount of passengers flowing through Gothenburg Landvetter airport every day, month and year plans are now ready for an expansion of the airport.
An investment nearing 1.9 billion Swedish Crowns is needed to put the plans into reality.
The airport has grown steadily since the last 20 years with a bigger growth noticed in the later years than ever. The 40-year old terminal has a few points which has reached their limit.
The next step will be an expansion of the terminal facing south. It will include three new gates which will be able to accomodate bigger aircaft as well as more passengers. The project is supposed to be finished at year 2020.
