NEWS Lagos bound flight forced to declare emergency and return to Heathrow


A Lago bound flight has been forced to make an emergency landing in London Heathrow after a passenger became ill.

Virgin Atlantic flight VS651 was less than half way through it journey when it declared an emergency and returned too it origin of Heathrow Airport.

Specific details on the medical emergency or the passenger’s condition have not yet been released.

A statement has been released on the airline’s flight status page.

We are sorry to announce that flight VS651 has returned to London Heathrow due to a customer medical emergency. Once the situation has been attended to we plan to continue onto Lagos as soon as possible.

The flight has since departed London Heathrow and is expected to land in Lagos at 8:07am.
