VIDEO New footage from inside emergency landing of #VS43 at Gatwick in dec. 2014

Virgin flight VS43 from Gatwick Airport to Las Vegas made national news in December 2014 when it spent four hours circling in the air before it could make an emergency landing back at Gatwick.

A technical fault was reported with one of the four landing gears shortly after take-off but the plane could not land straight away, instead having to burn off fuel to reduce the chances of a fire if the plane made a crash landing.

More than 20 ambulances and eight fire engines were sent to the scene and police closed roads around Gatwick as a precaution.

A new video was posted on YouTube on Friday (March 4) showing how the pilot and cabin crew calmly handled the situation and supported passengers who had to go into the brace position.
