Hundreds of passengers have been stranded at Avalon Airport today after engineering faults cancelled and delayed numerous Jetstar flights.
Flight JQ602 Avalon - Sydney was cancelled today due to a engineering fault which lead to the return flight being cancelled.
A delay of the 6am flight to Sydney then left a chain reaction of delays between Avalon, Sydney & Gold Coast.
A relief aircraft registered VH-XSJ was brought down from Melbourne to Avalon to assist in getting passengers to there destination.
Mean while, some passengers were transported by bus to Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport to get them on available seats on flights between Avalon & Sydney.
