A tiger kidnap gang tried to get onto a runway at Dublin Airport after making threats that one of their vehicles was fitted with an explosive device.
It is believed the gang tried to gain access to the airfield to target a plane that was carrying precious cargo or money.

The earlier Garda-related incident at the airport has concluded. Incident was not security related. Flight operations continuing as normal.
