We reported back in February of the first Father and Daughter pilots flying their Thomas Cook aircraft together from Birmingham, but now the first Father and Son pilot duo also depart from Birmingham together.
John and Luke Sharples, who both fly aircraft for Monarch Airlines, flew their first flight together from Birmingham to Turin on Saturday.
Father John, who has worked for Monarch for 29 years told the Birmingham Mail about this time 25 years ago to the day he was flying the 757 from Madrid to Gatwick when his wife went into labour with the pilot son Luke.
