NEWS British Airways flight to Dubai forced to return to Heathrow after 'smelly poo in the toilet' becomes unbearable for passengers

British Airways flight BA105 on Thursday 12th March returned to Heathrow because of passengers becoming distressed by an unfortunate smell on their flight which forced them to be accommodated overnight in a Heathrow hotel.

The flight was operated on Boeing 777-200ER registration G-RAES

The captain had informed the passengers that the smell was from 'liquid faecal excrement' and returned to London about 35 minutes after departure.

A passenger and the Conservative councillor for Potters Bar Abhishek Sachdev said the crew had health and safety concerns.

The passengers were put up in Heathrow hotel rooms and were offered food vouchers.

The following day (13th March) departed 13:34 on replacement aircraft G-VIIL.

The incident aircraft G-RAES has since returned to service just after the replacement flight departed at 17:37 to Toronto.
