Hilda Holland needed hospital treatment in Portugal when she was stretchered off the Thomas Cook service from Fuerteventura on January 10.
The 79-year-old was hurt when the flat shoe smashed into her head after a passenger sitting behind her on the Airbus A321-211 opened a locker above her seat.
The flight made an emergency diversion to Lisbon, where the OAP and husband John, 77, were rushed to hospital.
