NEWS IAG inches closer to Aer Lingus deal

Board members at Air Lingus are “considering” the latest takeover offer from International Airlines Group. IAG – owner of British Airways and Iberia, as well as low-cost carrier Veuling – saw two offers for the Irish flag carrier rejected at the end of 2014, but returned with a revised offer of €2.55 a share. For the new €1.36 billion to be successful it must secure the recommendation of the Aer Lingus board and both Ryanair and the Irish government.

NEWS 2 aircraft of Pakistan International Airlines were searched (passengers and luggage) just after they landed at London Heathrow

The two aircraft, a Boeing 777 PK785 flight from Islamabad (Pakistan) and a Boeing 777 PK787 flight from Karachi International Airport ( Pakistan) had landed without further incident at Heathrow International Airport in London, around 16h00 local time, when airport authorities and police have taken the decision to search passengers and baggage before they can leave the airport. 

No official reason was given and no one knows if the police departments seeking an object or person. After more than two hours, finally , authorization was given to let passengers leave the terminal. The airline and the Pakistani authorities have already complained of the controls that appear to affect only Pakistan Airlines.

NEWS American Airlines welcomes first Boeing Dreamliner to fleet

American Airlines has officially welcomes its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. American took delivery of the airplane, a 787-8 with registration number N800AN, on Thursday at Boeing’s factory in Everett, Washington, and it is scheduled to arrive in Dallas/Fort Worth on Friday afternoon. “We are committed to delivering a fantastic product for our customers with the continuation of our unprecedented fleet renewal program and more than $2 billion in improvements in the customer experience,” said Doug Parker, American’s chairman.

NEWS American Airlines launches Dallas-Beijing service

American Airlines will begin operating its new daily service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) on May 7, marking the airline’s sixth daily flight to Asia from DFW and the only nonstop flight connecting DFW and Beijing.
